About SEO AI Pal and the people who prompt with it
We are a small research and editorial team that sells one thing: backlink data over HTTP, priced per call, meant to be fetched by assistants and scripts.

What we noticed
A chat model can tell you, with total calm, that your site has 4,300 backlinks. That figure is invented here, and the point is that nobody can say where such a number came from.
We decided the fix was boring. Put a real index behind the chat, make the reply carry a receipt, and keep the price low enough that testing a prompt does not feel like spending money.
That is the whole product. The longer story sits in the myths page. Dated facts help as well: Google's SpamBrain link spam update arrived in December 2022, and the first Penguin shipped in 2012, so anything older than that in a prompt is folklore.

Where the data comes from
Our own crawler and our own index. Nobody else's. We name no third-party source, because none sits behind it, and our 0-100 Domain Rating is our own formula, published openly: round(100 · log(ref_domains+1) / log(2·10^7)).
It is a metric in the spirit of Ahrefs DR or Moz DA. It is not the same number, and it is not a Google signal.
Limits are part of the offer. We refresh monthly, we do not track keywords, and for a full SEO suite you will still want Ahrefs or Semrush next to us. See the credit and price table.
Who it suits, and who should look elsewhere
It suits consultants, in-house marketers and tinkerers who ask a chat assistant about links every week. It also suits anyone building a small tool that hands an API result to a model and asks for a plain-English summary.
It will not suit you if you want keyword volumes, a rank tracker or a crawl refreshed daily. Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz and Majestic each do parts of that better than a link-only API can, and we say so on purpose.
Pick the tool for the question. Questions about the backlinks domain by domain are ours; questions about where you rank this morning belong elsewhere. A little honesty here saves you a month of wrong expectations. If the answer you need lives in another tool, use that tool, and come back when the question is about links again. Nobody here minds.
How the pages on this site get written
We start with the problems people hit when a chat window is their SEO desk: a count with no source, a retry loop that burns balance, a prompt that works on Monday and drifts by Friday.
Then we test the fix against the API ourselves, with free actions first. Any number you see on a page comes either from the product facts above or from a worked example that says it is hypothetical.
Corrections are welcome. If a page is wrong, tell us through the account page with the page name, and we will fix it and change the date. Read the setup walkthrough to see the style in action.
How we work on this site
Dated, checkable claims
Google updates, tool names and prices appear with dates. Where we give an example, we mark it as one.
No borrowed voices
No quotes from customers, no case studies. The byline is the team, not a made-up person.
